Many of you have had the pleasure of eating (or gobbling down) these incredibly tasty roasted pecans or hazelnuts made by our most talented San Juan Island resident, Susan Matthews. For those of you who have not yet had the pleasure, Susan imports the best of the best pecans from Alabama and hazelnuts from Washington state and roasts them in a light canola oil with a dash of sugar and salt. They are simply perfect. Snack on them alone, or add them to salads, or as a topping to pecan pie or baked apples or crush them and use them to bread fish. The possibilities are endless and guaranteed to please. Order either the Pecans or the Hazelnuts or 1 of each!
